Materialise, listed on Euronext and NASDAQ as MTLS, reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of 70,073 kEUR, up 8.1% from 64,831 kEUR a year earlier, and raised its full-year Adjusted EBIT guidance to 12,000-14,000 kEUR from 10,000-12,000 kEUR. Revenue guidance stayed at 273,000-283,000 kEUR, unchanged despite the completed sale of the RapidFit business (April 30) and Eyewear business (July 1, with Materialise keeping a 20% stake).
| Metric | Q2 2026 vs Q2 2025 |
|---|---|
| Revenue | 70,073 kEUR, +8.1% |
| Adjusted EBIT | 3,880 kEUR, +26.9% (margin 5.5%) |
| Adjusted EBITDA | 9,593 kEUR, +15.7% |

Medical, now over half of group sales, grew revenue 12.2% to 36,873 kEUR, with segment Adjusted EBITDA of 11,553 kEUR exceeding the whole company’s total. Manufacturing returned to growth, up 6.7% to 23,597 kEUR, which CEO Brigitte de Vet-Veithen tied to “strong performance in our aerospace & defense focus markets.” Software revenue fell 2.7% to 9,601 kEUR, a decline the company attributed to reduced U.S. research grants hitting academic customers and reimbursement changes making orthopedics software buyers cautious. Medical devices grew 19% in the quarter while Medical software fell 4%.
The net profit jump leaned heavily on a financial-line swing to 242 kEUR from -3,052 kEUR a year earlier, when currency losses hurt results, a tailwind that may not repeat. Gross margin slipped to 56.8% from 58.3%. The Medical segment is also losing its leader: Koen Peters departs in September with no successor named yet. Holding revenue guidance while absorbing two divestments means the remaining business needs to grow fast enough in the second half to fill the gap, after first-half revenue growth of just 3.9%.
