6K Additive and ADDMAN have signed a 30-month powder supply agreement worth up to $10.8 million, with $8.1 million guaranteed and another $2.7 million tied to demand growth. The deal covers Nickel 718 alloy powder for ADDMAN’s aerospace, defence, and energy work.
The structure is a closed loop: 6K Additive buys revert powder back from ADDMAN and reprocesses it into new high-purity feedstock through its UniMelt microwave plasma system, instead of ADDMAN selling scrap elsewhere or sitting on dead inventory.
| Detail | Figure |
|---|---|
| Contract length | 30 months |
| Total potential value | $10.8m |
| Guaranteed value | $8.1m |
| Upside tied to demand | $2.7m |
| Material | Nickel 718 alloy powder |
| Reprocessing method | UniMelt microwave plasma |
Nickel 718 is a standard choice for aerospace and energy components printed at ADDMAN, so the contract is less about a new material qualification and more about locking in supply and a disposal path for the powder ADDMAN doesn’t consume in a build. 6K Additive CEO Frank Roberts framed the deal as extending an existing relationship with ADDMAN, and described the reprocessed powder as “highly spherical powder that supports repeatable printing,” tying the arrangement to keeping “critical materials within the U.S. supply chain.”
The release gives no per-kilogram price, no powder volume, and no detail on what triggers the $2.7m upside.
