Flashforge will ship the first units of its CJ270 on October 15, 2026, at $3,999, after cutting the price from a $4,499 pre-order that opened September 9. The first 100 units go out by air, and later pre-orders ship by air too, in order placed.
Full-color material jetting has so far been an industrial category, running ten times this price or more. The CJ270 brings the process down to a machine that fits on a desk.

Seven inkjet printheads jet six UV-cured resins (cyan, magenta, yellow, black, white, clear) plus a water-soluble support, mixed at every layer for what Flashforge says is over 10 million color combinations. That 7 μm layer height is well below the 20 to 30 μm typical of industrial full-color systems, and it’s what lets the printer produce gradients and skin tones without visible banding between colors, per Flashforge.
Supports dissolve in water; an optional ultrasonic cleaner cuts that step from roughly 10 hours to one or two. ColorPrint software handles slicing and color mapping over LAN or USB, and an AI tool converts a single 2D image into a print-ready file, aimed at users with no modeling background.
Every pre-order during the launch window qualifies for a $49 add-on: a full-color sample print with a refund if unsatisfied, plus 24 kg of resin shipped at 2 kg a month for a year, which Flashforge prices at over $1,500.
Independent measurements of color accuracy, actual print speed, and resin cost per part beyond the bundled year haven’t been published.
