About these numbers

How each value was chosen

Each preset inherits Bambu's Generic PLA or PETG for that printer and sets only the keys the brand set itself. A value the brand profile picks up from OrcaSlicer's shared template is dropped, so Orca's default never passes as the brand's.

A profile written for that printer is used as written. Otherwise the nearest printer's profile is carried over and the flow limit is capped at what Bambu allows its own PLA or PETG Basic there. Manufacturer datasheets override library values the brand did not write.

Every preset was sliced in Bambu Studio's command line and the G-code checked against each value, first-layer temperatures included. The H2D is the exception: the command line refuses to slice for it, Bambu's own Generic PETG too, so H2D presets are checked for structure only.

What this can't tell you

  • None of it was measured by us. It's what each brand says about its own filament: a better start than Generic, a worse one than your own calibration.
  • Colours differ. A black and a white spool of one line can want different temperatures; profiles are written per line.
  • Bambu Studio's command line blanks the notes we write into each preset, so whether the app keeps them is unconfirmed. The sources are here and in each zip.
  • Overture PETG isn't here yet. The datasheet's nozzle temperature is garbled in the PDF (it reads "21390 - 2430") and the product page lists none.
  • Extrudr PETG isn't here yet. Datasheet only (nozzle 210-230 °C, oddly low for PETG), no slicer profile from Extrudr.
