Italian manufacturer Fabbrix has launched the Elemento TC5, a 580 kg industrial FDM machine with five independently driven toolheads and a build volume of 1,100 x 600 x 640 mm. It’s available now, though Fabbrix hasn’t published a price; the machine is sold on a quote basis only.
The TC5 is an evolution of Fabbrix’s existing Elemento TC platform, moving from dual extrusion to a full toolchanger and adding 20 mm of Z travel over the earlier TC (now 640 mm). Nozzles go up to 1.2 mm and 350°C, running 1.75 mm or 2.85 mm filament off spools as heavy as 10 kg, in materials from PLA and PETG to nylon, PC, PPS, TPU, and fiber-filled compounds.

Fabbrix frames the five heads as a production tool rather than a multicolor feature: each toolhead can stay rigged with its own nozzle and material, so an operator can run a 1.2 mm PET-CF jig on one head and switch to a TPU-loaded head for a soft fixture without stopping to swap hardware. The Z-axis runs three independently driven motors with automatic bed-tilt compensation, and the magnetic build plate is swappable for an optional cold plate.
The launch lands as toolchanging spreads across FDM at different scales, from Prusa’s eight-tool INDX to Bambu Lab’s six-position Vortek system in the H2C. Fabbrix is pushing the concept toward large-format, long-running industrial jobs instead of fine multicolor work.
